I like to make things.
It does not matter what it is - a replica, a good piece of code, an improvement to my workspace. I enjoy creating something that wasn't there before and improving the world around me.
I find pleasure and meaning in creating. Especially when I create something that improves the space around me. If you have ever made a tool you use every day, you know the feeling. I have made it. It's useful. It makes work easier.
Those tools also enable to do more things. Tools we create are the extension of ourselves and the extension of our ambition. They build on top of each other and open new possibilities to explore. New possibilities mean growth, learning and becoming better.
That's why it feels so bad not to create anything in a while. It shrinks the world. It makes my mind work slower and takes away the joy. I have to create to feel alive.
